Baptised in Flame
numb to the core, my brain died that instant.... but deep down sumthing gave me the push to act an instant,..
i cudn scream but jumped outta da bed d instant the flames touched my feet,...everytime i tried to shout, i could feel myself choke ..... the lump of fear blocked my cry of help......
though my tears werent enuf to put down d flames, at least they gave me the courage to stand up and do sumthin to save,...
in the smoke i was standing ...cryin for the absent help...i tried openin the door but was instead engulfed in the fiery flames...and unlocked my stairway to heaven ....

WHY BLACK??....Think & Win
"yes ..wats d probs mate??"........y is der a problem with black............mom asks me ...is anybody dead here to u??...y r u wearing black??.....ur a christian.....u shdn wear black??
wat in da world has ppl so much aginst black.............its a colour just like any...........but for me its more dan it..........for me black is more dan just a colour
black is misunderstood.......just like me........ppl judge me too fast.....they think they kno me..........................bullshit to those who think dat they kno ppl.........'I KNO U' is tooo strong of a word to be used......i pray that ppl shd never use it........
every individual i believe possess a power ......a knowledge ..........a personality dat none other knos......its unique like every fingerprint........
no one can kno my inner me........as a matter of fact........i dunno who am i..........i cant describe myself..........cos every minute im different....but i kno where am standing....atleast for the moment.........!!
i recently got addicted to writing crap.............the way i think....the way anybody thinks is unique.......no doub about me??.............if given a choice to write or think...i wud choooose to think........cos i can never looose..
never loose the power with which i kill myself everyday and den survive my own wrath.......weird isnt it.....welll as i said i cant describe it..........
thinking is too powerful....i hope i can handle my thoughts for the moment...........black is not negative ..........the colour black has got me a lot than i can ever imagine......it gave me a new personality because of which im survivin this fckin world................the fight continue .........the battle with the world u never wanted................
in the end.........its u...............its u alone fighting ur war............no one will be there for u dude...none at all......so believe in ur power of thinkin, reasoning..............analyse ur steps and thoughts................cos if u have faith in urself....half d battle is won......
think clearly...............think powerfully......think responsibily......
Thinking Kills
one's who told me to think and the others who complain...." ramyaaa!!! why do u think so much"
its precisely that i started reading the last of harry potter.............man o man...the way the book makes u imagine....it has no bounds......... even as a child i was intrested in mythology and the various cultures.........
but dude.......i learnt one thing.............thinking is good.....but its like a power you have within yourself...........you need to kno how to control it...if its outta ur control...ull end up in an assylum..........
and i went thru that phase too ..when i told my mom i wanted to see a pshchiatrist.......no im not talking bout being possessed and the BHOOL BHULAIYA story........
but hey i do believe in angels and demons.............
back to the thinking hat....... a warnin to fellow thinkers.......THINKING KILLS......you should kno wen to stop your thoughts........but thoughts are like chains.....
the thinking starts of with one stuff.it may be a fly or a small dog or even a paper plane...but its like chain.......it connects to sum other thought and then another and so on.......you never kno when to stop ........cos ur floating in sumthing intense and passionate that you dont want to stop..and then youll hear your professor shouting at you.....askin u to leave the room...........
and youll be like........"but i havnt done anything"......egggjactly.............u havnt done anything......any of your work...........so face the world outside the classs...............and take that thought tooo which you left behind.................
Did all great thinkers had to face such a crappy life??

Kha - Mosh : digest the art of moshing
But in a moshpit ..moshing or slamdancing is d art.....
no im not gonna act like ramdevbaba and teach u the art........
Slamdancing is an art....this is where u concentrate and perform the art of slamdancing or moshing...
the various styles are:
- stage diving
- crowd surfing
- headbanging
Physical contact is a necessary for the mosh pit where audience members aggressively push or slam into each other.
If you don't like physical contact, stand on the edge of the pit and help urself by headbanging and puhlease.........stay away frm, out of control moshers who fly out of the circle....
Dont fuck arnd with the band ..if u get ur leg on the stage....Without music, the mosh pit dies...and u dun want the wrath of others.....
sum species knock over mic stands, bump into guitars, and all in all create a scaaam.
Stupid scammers hurl themselves off the stage and throw all their weight into the crowd (ppl arent MAIN HOON NA SHAHRUKH)
Dumb mealheads don't look before they dive and they break land on the floor busting their own heads open later. ...( pls dun start wearin helmets)
digest these facts and puke on the pit............its a good way to release ur adrenaline and loose weight......and listenin to this..gals ,,be aware.and beware....mosh with care!!
Rolling (kidney) Stones
but i dunno y am i happy to carry the 4 months of hardwork ....my 4 kidneystones...
its been a while people have been commenting on me and my stones.........i just want to prove how lucky i am to carry these beautiful lifeless beings:
- it helps wen ur attendence is less
- a reason to go on dates and not to attend ur project work
- u can emotionally torture ur parents and ask for wat u want
- can kiss early morning waking up blues goodbye
- can use d lifts dat r restricted for students
- get in class late
- postpone ur internals
- free ride back home
- ask friends to do ur homework
- can go out frequently between lectures in the name of drinkin water
these r the top 10 reasons........which i had an option to use...but i dint...........ahem ahem.......yes i dint
so think again wen u say......."eeuuwww kidney stones"

Interview with Systemhouse 33.. (No work, So play)
With no work at hand except perhaps discussing the worldly sins of the indo-us nuke deal and the kid who got lucky enough to be adopted by angelina jolie.. (Wow.. kya chakka maara ???)... a realization dawned upon us jobless souls that we had to do some USEFUL shit…..
Webster defines the term USEFUL as .....
1. being of use or service; serving some purpose; advantageous, helpful,or of good effect: a useful member of society.
2.of practical use, as for doing work; producing material results; supplying common needs: the useful arts; useful work.
Conclusion: our "lots" are alienated to USEFUL work!!
Animation classes bugged me and so was Pia bored with the mundane….
In the name of Cutting and Bhajjiya Pav...we rose and twisted the days of heat and its glory by deciding to Interview Upcoming Bands in Mumbai....

The Posers:
Ramya Thomas(me) & Pia Sinha(she)....lolz
I met Samron, vocalist of SH33 via my friend Neha Sejpal (penchor.. we call each other penchor cos it rhymes with b*****od and also cos its the ummm...cleaner version).
After many conversation on the phone , i finally met Sam on 14 May 2007.....and caressing his goatee with a ciggi in his hand( no i dun smoke) granted us permission to interview SH33....
As an ardent fan of metal music, i did research before attempting my first interview and in the due course also induced Pia to listen...... the attempt was not futile..........she now sings cranberries, Evanscence etc for the band ATKT( Ab Thak Kaha The)....and "I" still manage to hum the tracks of Pussycat Balls...
15 th May 2006...
Pia reached my place at 3.30pm cos we scheduled the interview at 4.00 pm at sam's colony. After the initial greetings, bitching and make ups.........we quickly jotted down questions of importance over a cup of tea by my mom.
We reached BPCL colony nearly 10 mins late expecting the boys to be late too.but alas...in my words Kapaaaaal ho gaya!..........
The boys had indeed reached on time and we quickly moved towards a comfortably numb part of the colony..............STAIRS NEAR THE BASKETBALL COURT.
The Interview
Systemhouse33:
Systemhouse33 or SH33 is an Indian Groove Metal, also with elements of Thrash, ....from Mumbai. The origins of their existence can be traced in Nagpur where the band rose to fame from their formation day on September 22 2003.
PANTERA, a Groove Metal band from Arlington, Texas became a key power influencing SH33.
Early Years & Formation
Their first show was on September 22 2003 at an "All India AIDS Awarness Drive" in Nagpur. In 1999 Sam, Danny and a drummer called Brett played a gig together at a local college gathering. This was with acoustic guitars and a single mic. The band consisted of somewhere around 10 members. Out of these just Sam, Danny and Terry were singing, Brett played the drums and Sam was on guitars along with another guy called Savio.
Splitfire
Somewhere in 2001 Samron and Cornell began jamming together in Sam's house (Cornell played bass and Sam used to play guitars and sing as well..). Brett was their drummer. Dan and Shane( Cornell's twin bro) used to go watch these 3 guys play at a local club. Soon Danny decided to pick up the guitar and soon he was playing along with them. Around the same time Shane got into drums and used to play a "few" songs with the rest, this line-up was called "Splitfire". Needles to say very soon they split up,and then soon after a few years of hardwork SYSTEMHOUSE33 was born.
Systemhouse33
Current lineup: -
Samron Jude - Vocals/Rhythms
Shane Baptist - Drums
Pratyush Krishna -Guitars
Craig Quadros - Bass
SYSTEM HOUSE 33 try to attain a sound that is entirely their own. They have been working hard on creating original music, but they do cover bands like Pantera, hatebreed, damageplan, korn, deftones, etc. Their originals have a sound that combines these various influences and the result is something that is their own heavy style!!! SYSTEM HOUSE 33 has been underground for quite sometime.
Every Individual had their own influences...Sam was mainly influenced by Pantera, Shane rooted from metalcore band Lamb of God, whereas Pratyush was the man with the touch of classic of Pink Floyd and Craig powered by Children of Bodom and the correct curry of these brought about what we today kno as SH33..
Pia despised metalheads thinkin them as a walking talking doping piece of mess. She had so many preconceived notions when she went out there.. she probably fantasised.........lols...errr....i mean she probably pictured meeting a bunch of psychos……
but imagine the reactions I got.. wen the interview was over… whoa she was bowled over by the guys…ahem to be precise "guy"… “winks winks”…. .hahaha… now thts a diff story….well…..thtts completely off the point….heheh…..
Speaking about music.with all the different influence.we were quiet purplexed how they went thru the composing mood...To which pat came the reply from "chocolate boy"craig…… "its mostly the music that we focus on.. Each one thinks differently…there are often many conflicting ideas but….ultimately comes down to one line of thought.. we tend to focus on the lyrics later."..(lyrics by apna sam baba).
Wen it came education..........ya we spoke on studies too.....blehh
they clearly stated that education was also their priorities respecting their parents ..........but they never let their love for music evaporate away..
we had our laughs with their experiences during their tours and the "who - did - wat - secrets"...lols....
Pia tho dint forget to jhadofy her hifi english….. to impress … ahem ahem…. Wht was tht word she said..???…oh ya ...fck...COMPLACENY or wat….???? Hahahha…… man !!
We surely had a fatang time with them discusing their personal, educational and banned(BAND) life…everything from birth to future plans of the band.. we left no fact unearthed….We left with hope of being there for the soon album launch of SH33........yup merko free entry chahiye.

i just love this ad....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFiHtneekXY
they just indianised the "choras" of the rock revolution....
kudos to the creators........
Channel [v]'s launch pad started in 2005 with its hunt for the rockiest of the rockers! The years witnessed India's most rocking bands i.e. Zero, PDV, Zephyr, Them Clones and Helga's Funk Castle.
In 2007, Channel [v] thirsts for fresh blood to bring out the new breed of Indian Rock Music was quenched with Superfuzz.
The Band profile this year:
1. Bhayanak Maut - Mumbai
Bhayanak Maut was named so, as it defines them as a band, fun yet crushing. The band came together three years ago and has already played quite a number of impressive shows. Their music is an eclectic mix of metal / hardcore / death metal / nu-metal. This is owing to the varied musical interests of the band-members ranging from Death to Deftones. Their EP, Malignant is already a hit among fans.
2. Cyanide - Delhi
Cyanide was formed during school days back in 2001. After school the band played a few shows and gained some popularity in the Delhi rock scene. The band has a wide variety of seemingly unrelated influences which some say forms the basis of the uniqueness of their sound. Influences include Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Creed, Nickelback, Mr. Big, Van Halen, Steve Vai, Breaking Benjamin, Incubus, U2 and many more.
3. Decibel - Delhi
The band, christened as 'Decibel' came to existence in March 2003. With the idea of making their presence felt, Decibel started work on their first competition at IIT Delhi. Quite content with their performance at IIT Delhi prelims and morale boosting comments from other participating bands, they are planning to hit the scene again with more covers and originals...
4. Frequency - Delhi
Formed in September 2006, Frequency is a Delhi based Elecro-Alternative Band. The band is getting noticed immensely due to its unique sound. Rony, Kushal and Akshay knew each other well and were later joined in by Abhishek and Noel to complete the Line-Up. With it's unique sound, the band is looking to make a mark in the Indian Rock scene. The band has three originals to its name.
5. Galeej Gurus - Bangalore
The band is dedicated and focused on perfecting their craft, and expanding a steadily-growing fan following. Their own compositions, their energy, their emotional live performances, and their hunger to reach new audiences, are some of the things that truly set The Galeej Gurus apart from the rest of the herd.
6. Half Step Down - Delhi
Half Step Down is a blues-rock band with influences ranging from Cream, Hendrix, Allman Brothers, Pearl Jam, Led Zeppelin and Dave Matthews. The band has always maintained that having fun while playing music is of utmost importance and continues to do so. The nomenclature of the band is derived from the fact that the band tunes its guitars on D# which is half step down from standard tuning pitch.
7. Human Abstract - Mumbai
Human Abstract derives its name from a 17th century poem of the same name written by William Blake. The name puts forth the point of focus of the band's perception- the complexity of human emotions and the basic abstractness of human thoughts and feelings. Since it's inception in November 2003, Human Abstract has constantly evolved. Human Abstract's sound has today evolved into a range of funk-driven melodies to riff-oriented arena rock music.
8. Junkyard Groove - Chennai
Formed in April 2005, Junkyard Groove describe their music style as Indie Funk. The individual musical tastes of the band's members range from Heavy metal, to Classic rock and Jazz. They have also received international attention recently, when they won Shamal - a battle of the bands featuring bands from different parts of Asia. Some of their fan-favourites are the songs - "It's Ok", "Folk You", "Twinkle" and "Say Goodbye".
9. Level 9 - Delhi
An energy packed offering that has lots to show. From a female vocalist,to a bassist who plays in a style unseen before, to fret-burning, keyboard thumping solos, to a soft violin amidst progressive rhythms...it s all there. With a sound that projects colours of jazz, funk, blues and progressive rock, Level 9 moves away from the "die-hard rock-till-you-drop" genre to provide a new kind of energy straight from the heart.
10. Medusa - Mumbai
Medusa is an electronic/rock band from Bombay comprising of four band members who liked creating some tunes together. They've delivered impressive performances and worked with some of the best folks in the independent music scene. Medusa is an album-old and are working on a new one. They claim they have enough tracks inside their heads to keep them busy making music for a long long time to come.
11. Skincold - Mumbai
Skincold is a Bombay based Nu Metal/Experimental band and is all about some heavy and catchy riffs, mean and funky bass lines and fresh and creative drum patterns along with some hardcore vox. Their music is heavy with a melody to it. Skincold was formed in mid 2005 with a goal to play music they love and not just playing anything that's "in" with the music scene. No Idea - Chennai No Idea was formed in August 2000, as a band influenced by heavy metal, progressive and alternative styles of music, playing de rigeur covers of bands like Megadeth, Queensryche, Dream Theater and the likes. The inevitable clash of teen egos led to the formation of a more mature band, musically and otherwise. Idea does not play covers anymore and strongly believes in a 'no nonsense, only music' attitude on stage and otherwise.
12. Red Cube - Mumbai
Red Cube is a Mumbai-based alternative-rock band, formed in 2006 by Gaurav Gupta (guitar, vocals), Vinit Bharucha (bass) and Rahul Hariharan (drums). Rahul and Vinit, who also play in the Bombay metalcore band Bhayanak Maut, had wanted to explore the softer side of music for about a year, until they met Gaurav who was looking for musicians. Red Cube's music is a fusion of Gaurav's pop/rock with Vinit and Rahul's Altternative-Rock/funk influences and brings to the people a sound that is unique, refreshing and most of all - fun.
13. Span - Kolkata
When Chirodeep, Neel, Stuart and Taj got together back in 2003 to form a band one thing was just right - the vibe they shared. But there was one huge problem - their tastes in music was as varied as chalk and cheese. So what do they do? They start playing everything - Rock, Pop, Blues, Rock-n-Roll, Jazz - you name it, they play it. And for a band that spans so many genres, what better name than Span.
14. Split - Mumbai
Split has been in existence since 2001. After a dormant first half of 2006, Split experienced a second coming, with a series of gigs, hitting Bombay and Pune in quick succession. Since the first week of January the band has been working at its debut album - "P Is For Pig". The album will, of course, include their all time favourite tracks - 'My House', 'Fat Oaf' and 'Pig Society'.
15. Synaps - Bangalore
Synaps, from Bangalore, is a culmination of energetic and alternative metal heads striving to evolve constantly, with inspiration derived from international bands. Initially started in the year 2000 doing school gigs and then headlining national level competitions, their genre and style has caught on with fans who recognise their abilities as an alternative rock band.
16. The Superfuzz - Delhi
Superfuzz, initially called themselves 'The Superfuzz Bigmuff' when they first started out. After winning competition after competition, they truncated their name to 'The Superfuzz'. Probably for simplicity reasons. They've garnered impressive praise from their many gigs and have a strong fan-following for their original compositions.
